Weekly Report: The details may be a bit fuzzy for him, but Watson, a 6-foot-4 senior, had a brilliant week nonetheless. Watson had already scored 27 points when there was 3:45 left in the game Saturday night when he took an accidental knee to the head, resulting in a scary concussion and a 40-minute delay in the I-55 Classic championship game against Delta C-7 which the Rams won 80-56. Before being taken to the hospital, Watson was 5-for-10 from the 3-point line, including 5-for-6 from the arc in the second half. He also posted five assists and seven rebounds. In other games last week, Watson scored 15, pulled down four rebounds and handed out three against St. Vincent; and he scored 21 points, had four assists and three rebounds against East Prairie. Watson, McCord said, will miss at least a week but seems to be recovering just fine.

Coach's Comments: "He's giving us an all-around game," said McCord. "He's a good rebounder and a great passer. He can back up our point guard, he can play 2-guard or a forward. He's real athletic. He's a guy that's hard to guard because he's a good slasher and he can knock down the threes and he can post up smaller guards. And he just plays hard and is always ready to play."
