Jackson's Graefe spent summer in Australia
Jackson freshman wrestler Michael Graefe had an unusual summer training regimen, spending 11 days in Australia with the People to People Sports Ambassador program.
Graefe's trip in July included playing cricket, rugby and other sports at the Olympic Park in Sydney, visiting the sites of Sydney, and training for the 2005 Youth Friendship Games.
Graefe, who has grown up wrestling in the Jackson AAU/USA wrestling program, split his two matches on the first day of the tournament and won his third-place match the following day.
Friedheim, Trinity and Shawneetown held the top three spots in the Cape-Perry LLL Dartball league after sweeping their opponents in league action on Dec. 6, while Apple Creek fell out of second place after being swept.
The league is set up like a baseball tripleheader each night with teams competing in innings of a game that requires throwing large darts at a baseball field.
Friedheim improved to 19-5 by sweeping Hanover. Trinity is two games back and Shawneetown three back.
