Tour of Missouri adds four teams

The Tour of Missouri bicycle race, which will pass through Cape Girardeau, announced the addition of four American teams Thursday.

BISSELL Pro Cycling team, Colavita/Sutter Home, Kelly Benefit Strategies and Team Type 1 were added to the field.

The second stage of the race will end in Cape Girardeau on Sept. 8.

The Cape Girardeau local organizing committee also announced it landed two sponsors for events -- Saint Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Bjelich, Morris team for win

Lisa Bjelich and Kathy Morris took first place in the weekly Cape Girardeau Country Club's Women's Golf Association's outing.

The team of Judi Brey and Christy Benton took second, while Mary Sue Layton and Mary Ann Vogelsang were third.
