Bryan Kelpe of Cape Girardeau finished first among 90 competitors at the recent Psycho Wyco Run Toto Run 50K in Kansas City, Kan.  His winning time of 4 hours, 31 minutes, 6 seconds was more than 20 minutes ahead of the second-place finisher. 
Kevin Hammes of Scott City won the Master's division at the recent Eagles Half Marathon at Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge near Carbondale, Ill. Hammes, who placed third overall, finished with a time of 1 hour, 24 minutes, 29 seconds. Steve Schmittzehe (1:34:22) of Cape Girardeau was 14th overall and first place in the 45-49 age division.
