The Poplar Bluff Junior High School cheerleaders brought home the hardware last weekend as the team finished first at the Missouri Cheerleading Coaches Association’s Kansas City Regional.

The Lady Mules finished first overall but they weren’t the only area team to bring home a trophy from the competition.

The Poplar Bluff High School cheerleading team finished third in the 5A Small Division with St. Joe Central taking first.

The Neelyville Lady Tigers finished first in the 1A Small Division and hit 100 points. Neelyville finished second at the regional competition a week earlier where they finished with zero deductions for their performance.

Teams now prepare for state competition in December.

The 1A Small Division and 5A Small Division championships are Dec. 9 at 9 a.m.
