Basketball

Jackson camps: The Jackson Indian basketball camps will offer multiple sessions June 21-25. Individual camps for grades 3-4 (9-11 a.m.), 5-6 (noon-2 p.m.) and 7-8 (2-4 p.m.) will take place at the multipurpose gym. A pee-wee camp for grades 1-2 will be 10 a.m.-noon June 28-July 2 at South Elementary, and a shooting camp for grades 4-7 will be 9 a.m.-noon July 19-23 at the multipurpose gym. Girls camp: Central High School's final girls basketball camp is June 21-24 with sessions for grades 4-6 (9-11 a.m.), grades 7-8 (8-10 a.m.) and grades 9-12 (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.). Info: 335-8467.

Tigers basketball camp: Central High School will host several boys basketball camps in July for those entering grades 3-9 as well as a Little Dribblers camp for boys and girls entering grades 1-3. The cost is $35 for each camp on advance registration with discounts for multiple siblings. Info: 335-8467.

Football

Central summer camps: Central High School will offer: a team camp for athletes entering grades 9-12 on July 26-29, with 6-8 p.m. sessions at the high school ($10 fee); and Tiger Football School for athletes entering grades 5-8 on June 28-July 1, with 9-11 a.m. sessions at the junior high practice field ($15 fee, registration on site upon arrival). Golf

Four-person scramble: Sixth annual Retired Senior Volunteer Program Golf Tournament will take place July 16 at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course. Format is a four-person scramble. Entry fee: $60 per person. Lunch at noon and 1 p.m. shotgun start. Info: Tina Dohogne, 335-7555.

Southeast summer camps: Southeast Missouri State University summer sports camps are ongoing, with coaches and athletes instructing. Some of the camps are for individuals and some are for teams. Most of the camps have sessions for grade school through high school age participants. Soccer

Challenger camp: The Challenger British Soccer Camp is scheduled for June 28-July 2 at Jackson City Park soccer field No. 1. The camp includes 1 1/2-hour sessions for novice players and three-hour sessions for recreational and competitive players. The staff also will offer a free coaching clinic for parents and coaches. Tennis

ACE Tennis tournament: The All Cancer Erased Tennis Tournament will be June 26-27 at the Southeast Missouri State tennis courts on the corner of Sprigg and Bertling. Entry fee is $12 for adult singles events, $18 for adult doubles, $8 for 16-and-under singles and $10 for 16-and-under doubles. Entry deadline is June 23. Info: 204-8848.
