CAPE GIRARDEAU -- John David Moore has joined the Beacon Recovery Center, 20 S. Sprigg.

Larry Holdman, executive director of the center, announced Moore's appointment this week.

Moore, a native of the Sikeston area, has lived here five years. He is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor of science degree.

"He brings to the center over four years of experience in the alcohol and drug treatment field," said Holdman.

Moore will be joining Kathy Grogan, director of outpatient treatment, in administering the evening treatment program, which provides treatment for both alcohol and drug abusers on an intensive outpatient basis.

Patients visit the center three hours a night, three nights a week for six weeks in the intensive outpatient treatment program.
