EAST PRAIRIE -- Saturday will be "Living History Day" at Big Oak Tree State Park near here.
The event, a demonstration of the lifestyles and skill of early Missouri settlers, will include a variety of crafts and activities, including blacksmithing, blackpowder guns, knitting, spinning, canning, and quilting.
Activities get under way at 10 a.m. and will continue to 5 p.m.
The Okechobee Chapter Anpetu-We Lodge of Explorer Scouts will demonstrate their ceremonial dances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Food will be available on the grounds, from noon to 4 p.m.
