If she had 10 more hours a week to volunteer, says Hileman, she would spend it at a shelter for women and children, helping the homeless with supportive services.

"For many children, growing up in a violent home is a terrifying and traumatic experience that can affect every aspect of their life, growth and development. Many mothers often go to great and courageous lengths to protect their children from abusive partners. I want to make a positive and godly impact on women and children that will last for their entire lives by encouraging them to make God-honoring choices."
