Vascular clinic opens at medical park

POPLAR BLUFF -- A vascular clinic has opened at Poplar Bluff Medical Park at Highway 67 Bypass and PP Highway, according to cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon John Wiggans of the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Group in Cape Girardeau.

Wiggans has more than 20 years experience providing cardiac and vascular care and will be available at the clinic on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

Wiggans' partners, R. Brent New, MD, and Edward Bender, MD, from the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Group, will help support the clinic. Services will include consultation, evaluation and treatment. Diagnostic testing will be completed at Poplar Bluff Medical Park. If tertiary hospital services are needed, Wiggans, New and Bender will care for patients at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Poplar Bluff Medical Partners formed Poplar Bluff Medical Park with the mission of bringing high-quality, affordable care to the Poplar Bluff area.
