Tech company certified to partner with Cisco

SCOTT CITY -- Technology And Networking (TAN) of Scott City recently completed final certification requirements with Cisco Systems Inc. to become the only Cisco Premier Partner within a 100-mile radius.

Jason Eftink, CEO, said, "We are now certified as a Cisco Premier Partner with a VPN/Security specialization. This certification sets us apart locally as the only network security experts in Southeast Missouri recognized by Cisco."

Technology And Networking works with product and service partners who can assist in enhancing the delivery of information technology and management solutions. Cisco Systems is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet and the partnership will move Technology And Networking forward in their focus on IT security and networking.

Eftink said, "The VPN/Security specialization is directly in line with our focus on edge technologies and security. We are now fully trained and certified to provide the design, implementation and maintenance of a corporate infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion detection and VPN.

"In addition, we can provide the documentation necessary to show compliance with government and/or internal security policies."

TAN is primarily a service company divided into two distinct areas -- structured cabling solutions and specialized services. The specialized services area is focused on edge technology, configuration and security such as firewalls, routers, switches. Both areas provide end-to-end solutions including consulting and implementation.

Started in August 1997, TAN is an Illinois-based corporation and registered as a foreign corporation in the states of Missouri and Kansas. TAN's customer base includes both commercial and government, focused primarily on the central United States.
