Teams needed for 10th annual Cape BBQ Fest
The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce is planning yet another great time in August and the Chamber needs one key ingredient to make it happen -- outstanding backyard barbecue teams from around the area. Each year Cape BBQ Fest in Arena Park has attracted between 25 to 30 grilling teams for the competition. All past participants have been notified and all Chamber members have marked the event on their calendars...
The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce is planning yet another great time in August and the Chamber needs one key ingredient to make it happen -- outstanding backyard barbecue teams from around the area.
Each year Cape BBQ Fest in Arena Park has attracted between 25 to 30 grilling teams for the competition. All past participants have been notified and all Chamber members have marked the event on their calendars.
Great cooks square off Aug. 23-24 for some great prizes, and the prestige that goes with being named the grand champion of Cape BBQ Fest.

Will the Penny Street Porkers win their fifth title? Or will some new team come in with the best.
There will be winners in six categories -- hamburgers, beef strip steak, beef kabob, pork steak, pork ribs and Boston Butt.
Contact the Chamber by Aug. 2. The entry fee is $50. Stop by the Chamber office to pick up a copy of the rules and application or call 335-3312.
