Southeast Physicians Provide Comprehensive Care for Patients

Southeast physicians provide patients with expert, comprehensive medical care from obstetrics to wound care.

__Southeast Obstetrics / Gynecology__

At Southeast Obstetrics/Gynecology, skilled and caring physicians Dianne S. Woolard, MD, FACOG, and Wendelly Vasquez, MD, along with experienced nurse practitioners Glenda Robison and Christy Cook, provide expert care for their patients.

Dr. Woolard says the new practice located at 1723 Broadway, Ste. 315 in Cape Girardeau builds upon the women's healthcare services provided by SoutheastHEALTH. "Southeast has the strongest foundation and the greatest commitment to serving this region," she adds.

Dr. Vasquez says Southeast Hospital provides excellent healthcare services. "It is a community hospital, but it has so much technology to offer," she notes. The technology includes the state-of-the-art da Vinci Robotic Surgical System. Dr. Vasquez is experienced in performing gynecological procedures with such technology.

__Southeast Pediatrics__

When it comes to child care, Southeast Pediatrics provides a kid-friendly dcor at its new location with bright colorful walls and animal shapes. The practice of Paul Leland, DO, is located at 25 Doctors' Park.

"It is a child friendly environment. We want children to be comfortable," says Dr. Leland. The new location is easily accessible with a circular drive where patients can be dropped off at the front door for added convenience.

__Southeast Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine__

SoutheastHEALTH leads the way in wound care. The health system has teamed up with wound care specialist Laura Holmes, MD, who formerly operated Continental Wound Care with fellow physician and husband John V. Mackel, MD. Dr. Mackel serves as executive director of Physician Practices.

A former primary care physician, Dr. Holmes has specialized in wound care for the past decade. In 2005, she became the first physician in southeast Missouri to be board certified in hyperbaric medicine. She also holds board certification in family medicine.

Southeast Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine is located at 310 S. Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau.

__Southeast Neurology__

SoutheastHEALTH recently welcomed Randall L. Stahly, DO, FAAN, to Southeast Neurology. Dr. Stahly is a board certified neurologist with more than three decades of experience.

Dr. Stahly is widely recognized throughout the region for his expertise in the management of patients with a wide range of neurologic concerns, including stroke treatment and rehab, migraine management, multiple sclerosis, neuropathy, seizure disorders and movement disorders. "The field of neurology is making enormous advances in many areas," he notes. "I enjoy the lifelong learning aspect of my work and making the newest advances and treatments available to my patients."

Dr. Stahly says, "Being part of SoutheastHEALTH is the start of a new chapter for me and one that will allow me to provide my patients with excellent resources. It's a great place to partner with." Dr. Stahly's office remains at its location at 63 Doctors' Park in Cape Girardeau.

__Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & Primary Care__

Southeast Endocrinology, 15 Doctors' Park, added endocrinologist Darren Allcock, DO, to its practice in 2011.

The practice shares the building with Southeast Diabetes Center. "Having the Diabetes Center next door is a tremendous benefit," he explains. "We can really work together to educate and help people with diabetes."

Southeast Gastroenterology 1723 Broadway, Ste. 220 welcomed Corey Sievers, MD, to the practice last year, while Southeast Primary Care with three offices in Cape Girardeau added Cape County native Jamie Dost Harrison, MD, and longtime primary care physician Kenneth DeCoursey, MD.
