Southeast Missourian reorganizes ad department

The Southeast Missourian advertising department has been reorganized and a new ad director has been named.

Carol Robert, who currently serves as the SEMO Marketplace manager, will be assuming responsibility for all Southeast Missourian online sales and ad trafficking. Robert and her sales team will also work with other staff members on the development of new online products. Online sales will be added to the products sold by the SEMO Marketplace sales team.

Sara Gerau will now serve as targeted sales director. Gerau will be responsible for targeted sales and content as well as editorial content and design. She will also continue handling national advertising for the Southeast Missourian and coordinate sales efforts for Rust Communications for Local Point Media.

Gera LeGrand will assume the position of promotional sales coordinator for the Southeast Missourian. In her new role, LeGrand will be responsible for developing, coordinating and selling promotions across all products including print, online and mobile. She is currently working on several key projects including selling the sponsorship packages for semoball.com and the new SEMO Events community calendar. LeGrand will continue coordinating important projects like the VIP sales program, annual Progress publication and others. She will work with the advertising management team to develop and execute new sales promotions.

Donna Denson has been hired as the advertising director. She will be responsible for the display and classified divisions of the advertising department. Denson will assume her role today when she arrives from Florida, where she worked for a family-owned daily newspaper.
