Tony Rehagen joined the Southeast Missourian's staff as business editor on March 1 and will be covering the local business, technology and health beat.

Rehagen previously worked as a general assignment reporter for the Centralia Fireside Guard and as a freelance writer for the Columbia Daily Tribune. He received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

He grew up in St. Elizabeth, Mo., and has lived in Columbia for the past seven years. As of Feb. 29, he has been a resident of Cape Girardeau, where he lives with his wife, Erin.

Rehagen replaces Scott Moyers, who left the Southeast Missourian earlier this year.
