Smith and Co. opens Jackson office

Poplar Bluff-based Smith and Co. opened an office in Jackson in November. The company provides complete civil, environmental and sanitary engineering services; subsurface geological engineering and exploration (soil and rock boring) services; land surveying; concrete, asphalt and soil testing; construction inspection and construction management. This includes Phase I site assessments, underground storage tank removal and closure, site characterization, soil gas surveys and corrective action (remediation).

Chris Layton is the manager of the office.
