Magna-Tel of Cape Girardeau has announced several members of its management team recently received the certified advertising specialist designation: finance director Becky McMillan, assistant plant manager Rodney Friese, marketing director Donna Rosanswank and customer service supervisor Sandy Patterson.
At a series of district meetings being held in January, Prairie Farms, the dairy-farmer owned cooperative based in Carterville, Ill., will award 286 of its members for meeting or exceeding the company's milk quality standards. Local recipients will be Charles Schabbing of Cape Girardeau, Ronald Walther of Jackson, Schwartz Bros. Dairy of Scott City, and Telle Dairy Farm and Voelker's Brown Swiss of Perryville.
Dr. Shannon Kirchhoff of Cape Girardeau has been elected as Southeast District trustee to the Missouri Dental Board. She is a 1988 orthodontic graduate from the UMKC School of Dentistry and has been in private practice in Cape Girardeau since then.
Innovative Idea Integration LLC of Jackson was recently named by Hewlett Packard as the "MVP" for the North Plains Global Business Unit, which covers a nine-state region and includes approximately 200 authorized service providers. The award is given each quarter to the Hewlett Packard Service Provider that achieves the highest customer satisfaction and operational performance score in the region. HP is a leading global provider of products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses. The company's offerings span IT infrastructure, personal computing and access devices, global services, and imaging and printing. Innovative Idea Integration LLC was founded in 1993 to provide information systems services to a wide range of clients. Services include computer hardware, "voice over IP" telephone systems, networking, consulting, software development, training and software implementation services for clients engaged in manufacturing, education, distribution, construction and finance.
Dr. Bruce Domazlicky, a professor of economics at Southeast Missouri State University, has been awarded the Governor's Award for Excellence in Teaching and was expected to receive the PRIDE Award during commencement exercises last weekend. Gov. Bob Holden recently recognized 69 outstanding faculty from Missouri's post-secondary schools, colleges and universities during the 2003 Governor's Award for Excellence in Teaching luncheon in Springfield.
Jeff Emmenderfer, who operates a Kirby distributorship in Cape Girardeau, recently received 48 Kirby home care systems from Kirby Co. The prize is part of the Challenge of Champions Campaign, a yearlong promotion in which distributors can win prizes and trips for reaching their business goals.
Jana Jateff, the senior sales director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, has announced her unit's top performers for the quarter. Emerald stars are Jateff, Julie Giannasi and Robin Hackett. Sapphire stars are Vennie Leuckel of Perryville, Sherry Campbell of Patton, Amy Romack of Cape Girardeau and Tina Tidwell of Scott City.
For the sixth year in a row, the financial services firm Edward Jones ranked high on Fortune magazine's list of the "100 best companies to work for" in America. These rankings include top 10 finishes in the last five years and consecutive No. 1 rankings in 2002 and 2003. This year, Edward Jones took the No. 4 spot. The ranking will appear in the magazine's Jan. 12 issue, which is available beginning today. Edward Jones has offices in Cape Girardeau at 839 N. Kingshighway.
