DEXTER -- Progressive Farm Credit Services has broken ground for its new branch facility on Highway 60 just west of One Mile Road in Dexter.
Due to continued growth in the branch loan portfolio and insurance sales, a larger facility was needed to replace the current location on South Walnut, according to company officials.
The new facility will be about 3,275 square feet. A conference room will be available for loan closings or other small group meetings.
Architect for the project is Robert Stearnes and Associates of Sikeston, with Dexter resident Dale Rogers serving as lead architect. C.A. Walker Construction Co. Inc. of Dexter is the general contractor. The completion date is April 2003.
Progressive Farm Credit Services is the largest agricultural lender in Southeast Missouri, with more than $275,000,000 in real estate, equipment, and operating loans to 1,774 customers throughout Stoddard, Bollinger, Scott, Cape Girardeau, New Madrid, Mississippi, Dunklin, Pemiscot, Butler, Carter, Wayne and Ripley counties.
