Cape Girardeau physician Dr. Anthony Zoffuto has been named medical director for Pyramid Group, Missouri's largest in-home service provider.
Gerald Jones, president and CEO of Pyramid, which has corporate offices located in Cape Girardeau, said Zoffuto would be representing Pyramid in various capacities.
Zoffuto, a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School in 1971, became certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1976, and started his practice in Cape Girardeau in 1978. Zoffuto, who also serves as medical director of Occupational Medical Services in Cape Girardeau, intends to continue his medical practice in conjunction with his affiliation with Pyramid Group.
Pyramid operates as an in-home service provider in 91 counties in Missouri. The company has been in operation since 1972, and has more than 1,400 employees. It operates 10 regional office in Missouri, including Kennett, Sikeston, Doniphan, Fredericktown, St. Louis and Jefferson City.
Operating within Pyramid Group are the companies, Tri-County Group XV Inc., Pyramid Homemaker Services Inc., Pyramid Nursing Services Inc., and the newest division, Pyramid Management Services Inc.,
