PERSONNEL: UNDERWOOD APPOINTED TREASURER OF PEI BOARD

Albert L. "Sonny" Underwood Jr., president of Mid-South Steel Products in Cape Girardeau, has been appointed treasurer of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) Board of Directors.

PEI is comprised of more than 1,600 companies that manufacture and distribute equipment used in petroleum marketing operations. Underwood's company manufactures and installs steel tanks, pumps and dispensers and distributes petroleum equipment.

Underwood attended Cape Central High school and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. He is an active PEI member, and has served as district director, and on a number of committees. He is also chairman of the board of the Steel Tank Institute, and treasurer of the Steel Tank Association and Steel Tank Insurance Co. He is also a member of the Steel Tank Hall of Fame.
