Mark Foeste of Cape Girardeau has the "Fastest Trowel on the Block."

Foeste, who works with Kenneth Masonry Inc. in Cape Girardeau, recently won the 1994 national championship during the Masonry Expo '94 at Atlanta, Ga.

Foeste won state and regional competition last year to qualify for the national competition, where he faced six competitors in the finals. The six contestants were given 20 minutes to build a wall in the national competition, and were graded on craftsmanship and accuracy.

Top prize was a 1994 Ford pickup truck.

Christy McIntosh, financial analysis at McDonnell Douglas, recently passed the certified public accountant examination. McIntosh, a native of Benton, is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

Cindy Neely, a respiratory therapist at St. Francis Medical Center and a member of the medical center's sleep laboratory staff, recently passed the certification examination of the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists.

Her certification recognizes her knowledge and skills in sleep disorders. Neely, an employee of St. Francis since 1982, has been part of the medical center's Sleep Well Center staff since its sleep lab opened in March 1990.

The St. Francis Sleep Well Center conducts sleep studies four nights a week. An expansion of the facility is expected to double the sleep lab's capacity later this spring.

Five Cape Girardeau health care providers are helping Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri develop practice guidelines for women's reproductive and musculoskeletal conditions, including pre-eclampsia, Caesarean section, low back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Local providers on the productive panel are Dr. Michael J. Jessup, obstetrics-gynecology, and Dr. Deborah G. Thomas, family practitioner. Named to the musculoskeletal panel were Dr. Donald W. Hinnant, mental health-pain management; Dr. Gregory A. Tobin, plastic and reconstructive surgery; and Dr. Michael C. Trueblood, orthopedics.

Once the guidelines are developed, BCBSMo will distribute them to participating primary care providers and to appropriate specialists.

Capital Bank of Cape Girardeau County has announced two appointments and a promotion.

Roger Suedekum has been promoted to senior vice president and mortgage loan officer; Henry "Butch" Holyfield Jr. has been named senior vice president and mortgage loan officer; and Gregory L. Wilson has been appointed assistant vice president and commercial loan officer.

Donna J. Domian, investment representative with the Cape Girardeau office of Edward D. Jones & Co., has been named to the All-American Team of the American Funds Group of Mutual Funds.

Domian was cited for outstanding service to investors in the Cape Girardeau area and for excellence in financial counseling in mutual fund investments and variable annuity contracts.

Domian has been with Edward D. Jones & Co. since 1983. She is security licensed with both the NYSE and NASD. The Cape Girardeau office ranks in the top 10 percent of the Jones firm for assets under management and in the top 5 percent for office productivity.

Domian is a graduate of the University of Iowa, with a doctor of philosophy degree.

Dr. Robert Kessinger, a specific chiropractor from Cape Girardeau, attended a Kale Upper Cervical Conference at Spartanburg, S.C. recently.

Dr. B.J. Palmer was guest speaker on the subject, "Specific Adjustment."

Kessinger is a Kale-certified specific chiropractor and instructor. He has offices at 1424 Kurre Lane.
