Marsha Elfrink has joined Sleepy Hollow Furniture Center, 1809 N. Kingshighway, as a sales representative.

David Patrick, owner of the business, announced the appointment recently.

Elfrink of Cape Girardeau is being added to the Sleep Hollow staff following the announcement of an expansion project, which is now under way.

She has previous retail sales experience.

J. Derieck Hodges of Albrecht-Hodges Insurance Agency Inc. has received the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) following the completion of an insurance education program sponsored by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

Hodges qualified for the CIC designation through a combination of experience, formal training and a series of comprehensive written examinations focusing on all major fields of insurance, management and agency operation.

Hodges is also working on the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) program, offered by the American Society of CLU & ChFC.

Larry Reiminger has been appointed marketing director at Southeast Missouri Bank, 111 S. Broadview, in Cape Girardeau.

Percy Huston, president of the bank, announced the appointment recently.

Reiminger, of Cape Girardeau, is a graduate of Notre Dame High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.

Becky Fulgham, director of the Southeast Missouri State University Music Academy, recently attended the National Festival of the Arts at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.

The arts festival was presented by the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts (NGCSA) in conjunction with the NGCSA annual conference.

More than 400 performers and artists, including internationally acclaimed composer and conductor Luka Foss and violinist Elmar Oliveira performed.

A number of art exhibits were displayed and several workshops were conducted during the weeklong conference.
