Starla Pulley of Cape Girardeau and Debbie Stamatikos of Anna have joined Tip of Illinois Health Services Inc. as social workers.

Pulley, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in social work, was previously employed by Habcare, an individualized support living program. She will work out of the Olive Branch Tip office, which serves Alexander and Pulaski counties.

Stamatikos, who received a master's degree in social work from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale this year, will work out of the Anna Tip branch, which serves residents in Union and Johnson counties.

Tip, in operation since 1976, provides health services in the home, serving the lower 26 Southern Illinois counties.

Jeff Hawk has joined Chester Mortgage as a mortgage loan officer and manager of the local office at 125 S. Broadview, Suite One.

Hawk, a native Cape Girardean who has more than 30 years experience in banking, previously worked at a bank in California 13 years before returning to this area, where she has worked at Jackson Savings, Heritage Savings, First Federal Savings and Roosevelt Bank.

Hawk is a member of the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors and the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.

The mortgage company, a division of Chester, Ill., Savings Bank, opened in Cape Girardeau this month. Chester Mortgage has operations at Cape Girardeau and Perryville in Missouri and Chester, Carbondale, Sparta, Pinckneyville and Red Bud in Illinois.

The Cape Girardeau operation will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

PERRYVILLE -- Paul F. Pautler has been honored as Missouri's "Volunteer of the Year."

Pautler, president of the Perry County Industrial Development Authority, was honored by the Missouri Industrial Development Council for his 31 years of volunteerism in community and econmomic development.

Pautler will be recognized by the Southern Industrial Development Council during its annual conference at Myrtle Beach, S.C., in October. The regional organization of economic development will honor all volunteers selected from its 17 member states.

Ben Tally and Dave Charlier, pharmacists and managers of Medicap Pharmacies at Cape Girardeau and Scott City, received "Medicap Pharmacy Master Capsule Club Awards" during the Medical Pharmacies Inc. annual meeting, at West Des Moines, Iowa.

The awards are presented for outstanding sales performances.

Medicap Pharmacies Inc. is a national franchise, headquartered in West Des Moines, with 145 pharmacies open or under development in 30 states.

Dr. Raymond A. Ritter Jr. has been inducted as an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

The foot and ankle society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, headquartered in St. Paul., Minn.

Ritter is an orthopaedic surgeon in practice with Orthopaedic Associates of Southeast Missouri in Doctors' Park.

Roger Champ, director of operations for I.V. Care Inc., 63 Doctors' Park in Cape Girardeau, is president-elect of the Missouri Home Infusion Association.

Champ, who has served on the state association's board of directors for two years, and Randy Morse, CEO of I.V. Care, attended the organization's annual meeting held at Osage Beach.

Champ will assist the president during the current year and serve as president of the group during the 1996-1997 term.

Wayne Muri, who retired as chief engineer of the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department last year, has become executive director of the Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association.

Muri, a frequent visitor to this area during his career with the highway department, succeeded retired executive director Donald G. Anders July 1.

Muri joined the highway department 34 years ago and served as chief engineer from 1986 to 1994.
