Keith A. Daum has joined Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems as a new account executive.

Daum, of Nashville, Tenn., and his wife, Jeanette, are now residents of Cape Girardeau.

Daum received his marketing degree from Middle Tennessee State University and has previous sales experience as a territory manager in Nashville.

The Becker CPA Review Court recently announced that Connie R. Settlemoir of Cape Girardeau has passed the CPA examination.

The National CPA Examination is conducted each May and November. The Becker course is a preparatory course for the examination.

Jim Roche, an officer in St. Francis Medical Center's security department, has been named 1995 "Officer of the Year."

The award, sponsored by the Missouri Association of Hospital Safety and Security Directors, was presented by St. Francis Security director Rick Fehr, during the recent St. Francis employee recognition banquet.

Roche, a member of the security staff since 1983, is actively involved in the medical center's crime prevention, safety and fire prevention programs, and was instrumental in starting the "Hospital Watch" program at St. Francis. Roche also serves on the medical center's disaster subcommittee.

Roche also volunteers time to various community safety activities such as health fairs, seat belt awareness programs and the Cape Girardeau Safe Kids Coalition.

Ken Barrett, nuclear medicine, and Mabel Rubel, a unit secretary, have each been recognized for 35 years of service with Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Some 200 hospital employees were recognized for some 2,160 combined years of service during the hospital's 25th Employee Award Banquet recently.

Commemorative pins were presented to employees by hospital administrator James W. Wente and director of human resources Chuck Keppler.

Recognition for 30 years service went to Betty Heuring, chemotherapy; Martha Kelley, psychiatric unit; and Lucele Ourth, environmental services.

Four employees were honored for 25 years service. They were Doris McMillan, environmental services; Betty Prigge, emergency; Carolyn Ridings, medical progressive; and Gwen Thoma, education services.

Robert P. Rueseler has been named "Agent of the Year," by the St. Louis-Kickham Agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.

Rueseler, who has been with MassMutual seven years and specializes in personal, business, estate planning and life insurance, also received the company's Century Circle Qualifier and Platinum Club Member award, for personal achievements in the financial services field.

Rueseler's office is at 113 S. Broadview in Cape Girardeau.

Lonnie G. Hasty has been named vice president of finance with Health Facilities Management Corp. (HFMC), headquartered at Sikeston.

Don Bedell announced Hasty's appointment recently.

Hasty, a certified public accountant with 20 years experience, will be responsible for monitoring the operational accounting records, financial statements and income tax filings for 25 nursing facilities.

HFMC is a management corporation specializing in the operation and management of nursing homes in Missouri and Arizona. The nursing homes range in size from 60 to 157 beds.

Don Michelsen of Oran has been named sales manager at SEMO Motors in Sikeston.

Michelson's appointment was announced recently by Larry Ellison, general manager of the dealership at 417 N. Main. The dealership handles Cadillac and Oldsmobile cars and GMC trucks.
