Teresa Teague has been named executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Girardeau. She was previously administrative assistant to the executive director of the club. She has an associate degree in English literature from University of Florida and earned her bachelor's degree from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. She is a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army for five years. Her previous not-for-profit involvement comes from her association with Girl Scouts, United Way and fundraising in North Carolina. Linda Puchbauer was chosen by Cape West Rotary as the 2010 Rotarian of the Year. She will serve as president of Cape West Rotary during the 2010 to 2011 Rotary year. Puchbauer is the human resources assistant and payroll manager at the Community Counseling Center and also works at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Shannon Stinson of Jackson has been named a financial representative with Modern Woodmen of America in Southeast Missouri. She recently completed Kaplan Financial's Basic I and Ethics for the Insurance Professional courses. She began working with Modern Woodmen in May.
Jerry Wilson is now a sales associate at Century 21 Ashland Realty at 2441 Myra Drive in Cape Girardeau. Wilson has been a licensed real estate agent for 48 years. He is a member of the Million Dollar Club and is a certified negotiation specialist. Carl Blanchard serves as broker at Century 21 Ashland Realty.
The Jana Jateff unit of Mary Kay Cosmetics recently recognized its top producers at an area meeting in Sikeston, Mo. Kay Waller and Jana Jateff, both of Cape Girardeau, were honored as star consultants for the quarter.
Lois Long was promoted from adviser to unit manager with lia sophia jewelry company. Long attained the level through personal sales and by motivating others to achieve success. She will receive additional benefits, including monthly bonuses and jewelry premiums. "I've been able to be my own boss, build my own team and help other people to be as successful as I have been," Long said.
Anita Philips has been named the top sales adviser in Cape Girardeau by lia sophia jewelry, earning this designation in her first 15 weeks in the fashion jewelry business. "This immediate success is the result of Anita's hard work and dedication," said Bonni Davis, vice president of lia sophia.
