Nursing association elects vice president

Diane Reagan of Cape Girardeau was elected vice president of the Missouri State Association of Licensed Practical Nurses, a professional organization that represents licensed practical nurses throughout the state. A graduate of the practical nursing program at Cape Girardeau Vocational and Technical School, Reagan is a member of the staff at the Cardiovascular Clinic of Southeast Medical Plaza, 1723 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.

Office supply company adds new technician

Specialized Office Services, Inc., 401 N. Clark Ave. in Cape Girardeau, has added Richard Adams of Jackson to its staff of trained technicians. Adams brings to the company 12 years of certified office equipment experience. The company is an authorized dealer of both Konica Minolta and Lanier copy systems and has served customers in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky for the past 26 years.

Laura Richards has joined the styling team of All About You hair and nail salon, 1750 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau. The stylist has been in the hair and nail care business for five years.

Salon gives promotions to five staff members

Elements Salon and Spa, 2031 Cape LaCroix Road in Cape Girardeau, has promoted five staff members to the position of beauty consultants. Denise Merideth, Ashley Taylor, Courtney Gerard, Kate Gabriel and Danielle Moffit received training and certification this month from Bare Escentuals cosmetic representatives, based in Chicago.

Cape man elected to serve on tourism board

The Missouri Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus has elected Chuck Martin of Cape Girardeau as its secretary of its board of directors. He is one of four officers who will serve as officers of the state board from July 1 to June 30, 2009. Martin is executive director of the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau, 400 Broadway in Cape Girardeau. Based in St. Joseph, the Missouri Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus promotes and develops sustainable economic growth of travel on behalf of its member bureaus and their communities.
