George "Skip" Wrape of River City Biologicals in Cape Girardeau has been re-elected to the board of directors of the International Serum Industry Association. The association deals with issues of animal serums and plasma. These products are used extensively in diagnostic and veterinarian industries.

Ostrenga receives President's Recognition Award for service

Barbara Ostrenga, an administrative assistant for the MBA and International Business Programs office at Southeast Missouri State University, has been honored by the Missouri Division of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Ostrenga, a certified professional secretary and certified administrative professional, received the President's Recognition Award for service at the association's annual meeting in St. Joseph, Mo. The award is given annually to one member of the state division. In addition to this award, Ostrenga was nominated by her chapter members for the Award for Excellence. Girardot Chapter also received an award for a chapter with more than 50 members with the most certified members.
