Edward Jones financial adviser Donna Domian of Cape Girardeau recently received the Managing Partner's Award for her outstanding sales and service efforts during the past year. Domian was one of 343 of the firm's more than 9,000 financial advisers to receive the award. Domian has been serving the Cape Girardeau area since 1990.
Dr. Jimmy D. Bowen has joined the medical staff of Orthopaedic Associates of Southeast Missouri, specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Bowen is a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Bowen is certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and e-habilitation, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, and the Society of United States Naval Flight Surgeons. Orthopaedic Associates is a nine-physician specialty practice at 48 Doctors' Park in Cape Girardeau, with treatment centers in Sikeston, Mo., Perryville, Mo. and Poplar Bluff, Mo.
The American Red Cross recently announced that Kessie Hinkle joined the team as development specialist for the Southeast Missouri chapter. She will be working out of the chapter's Cape Girar-deau office, meeting with people in the nine-county service area of Perry, Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Scott, Stoddard, Mississippi, New Madrid, Dunklin and Pemiscot. A lifelong resident of Missouri, Hinkle graduated from Fredericktown High School. Hinkle received her bachelor of science in economics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Marvin Adams Jr., vice president of Wood & Huston Bank in Cape Girardeau, was among the 648 bankers taking part in the 58th annual two-week session of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. Classes began May 20, with courses covering all aspects of banking, economics and related subjects. Sponsored by 15 Southern state bankers associations in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education at LSU, the banking school requires attendance on campus for three years, with extensive bank study assignments between sessions. The faculty consists of bankers, business and professional leaders, and educators from all parts of the United States. During their three years at the Graduate School of Banking, students receive 180 hours of classroom instruction, 30 hours of reviews, planned evening study and written final examinations at the end of each session.
