Southeast Missouri Food Bank hires operations manager

Kit Brewer has joined the staff of Southeast Missouri Food Bank as operations manager. A native of Ironton, Mo., Brewer graduated from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo. For the past five years he has worked with the Central Missouri Food Bank in Columbia, Mo., heading their mobile food pantry, USDA and children's programs and serving as operations director. Southeast Missouri Food Bank, 3920 Nash Road in Cape Girardeau, distributes food to more than 145 agencies in 16 counties in Southeast Missouri. Senior nutrition centers, church food pantries, soup kitchens, domestic abuse and homeless shelters and rehabilitation centers are examples of the types of agencies that benefit from hunger relief efforts. 

Three agents honored by realty board

Three real estate agents were recently honored by the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors. Tracey Hagan of RE/MAX Realty Experts received the Pinnacle Award, Melinda Dodd of Prudential Bridgeport Realtors was recognized for both the Rookie of the Year and the Summit Awards and Wendy Marberry of Realty Executives of Cape County was presented with the Summit Award.

Perry designated expert after training

Jane Perry of RE/MAXDivine Homes Cape Girar­-deau has earned the Certified Distressed Property Expert designation, having completed extensive training in foreclosure avoidance and short sales.

Real estate company hires Jackson native

Tara Elfrink has joined Realty Executives. A native of Jackson, Elfrink worked in the banking industry 12 years before becoming a real estate agent.
