Cross Trails Medical Center hires chief executive officer

Denzel Garner recently joined Cross Trails Medical Center as chief executive officer. He is a native of Southeast Missouri and a U.S. Navy veteran. Garner has more than 20 years' experience in executive medicine, serving in numerous staff and leadership positions, directing and managing health-care systems in the United States and overseas. Garner holds master's and bachelor's degrees in health services administration from the George Washington University and is board certified in health-care management and a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Cape Electrical Supply promotes two to vice president posts

Cape Electrical Supply has promoted Mark Puchbauer to area vice president of electrical construction and Kyle Thoma to area vice president of power and industrial. Puchbauer is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and has worked with Cape Electrical Supply for the past 18 years. He and his family live in Oak Ridge. Thoma is a graduate of Columbia College. He and his family reside in Cape Girardeau. Cape Electrical Supply operates 20 facilities in a four-state marketing area.

Edward Jones adviser attends leadership forum in St. Louis

Donna Domian, an Edward Jones financial adviser in Cape Girardeau, recently attended the company's first Women's Leadership Forum at the firm's headquarters in St. Louis. The leadership forum recognized female Edward Jones financial advisers, provided networking opportunities and offered advanced training.

Physician assistant leaving Cairo, Ill., medical center

CAIRO, Ill. — After 26 years serving as a physician assistant at Community Health & Emergency Services in Cairo, James Kinder will move to Fishersville, Va., where he has taken a job in the emergency room at Augusta Medical Center. Kinder will move to Virginia on Sunday, with wife Rosie following later this spring. The couple have three children.

Workforce adds human resources adviser to staff

David Milam has joined the Workforce Employment Solutions corporate staff as human resources adviser. Milam brings more than 25 years of human resources experience to the organization. He has held senior level positions with TG Missouri in Perryville, most recently as the human resources manager for the city of Cape Girardeau. Along with the management staff of Workforce, Milam will be assisting regional companies in creating customized plans for their human resources department.

Real estate agents attends conference in California

Jan and Jim McClanahan of Coldwell Banker Abernathy Realty in Jackson recently attended the Sell-a-bration conference in San Francisco. Jan McClanahan is a past certified real estate specialist president for Missouri. At the annual convention attendees networked and learned about new ideas for 2009.
