Century 21 Ashland Realty recently received the Pacesetter Platinum Award for outstanding sales achievement and performance. In addition, a number of agents from Century 21 Ashland, Heartland and Key Realty received individual recognition for their performance. From Ashland, Dana Leming, Jeri Packard and Ken Inman received platinum plaques for being on pace for Centurian, or top, status. LaDonna Dalton, Darren Ellis and Howard Alexander received gold plaques for being on pace for Masters. From Heartland, gold went to Larry Cunningham, Denise Stover, Debbie Duffy, Sheila Carlton, Susan Grant, Leslie Leimbach, Melody Rhodes, Paul Sander, Sheila King and Bill Reeves. From Key, platinum went to Jane Clark.

Cape nursing manager honored for leadership

Sherri Oxford, a unit nursing manager at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, was chosen by her co-workers for their quarterly Leadership Award. In winning the award, Oxford was said to have demonstrated focus on each situation, maintained the self-confidence and self-esteem of others, maintained constructive relationships, took initiative to make things better and led by example.

SEMO grad wins San Diego teaching award

Kathy Kremer Toon, a 1975 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and now a teacher of homeless students at Harbor Elementary in San Diego, Calif., was recently chosen as the city's Teacher of the Year. Toon is now a candidate for California Teacher of the Year, which will be announced later this year. She is the daughter of Jim and Genie Kremer of Cape Girardeau.

Jackson man completes Wal-Mart training

Andrew Koeberl of Jackson has completed the manager training program with Wal-Mart. He has been assigned to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Carbondale, Ill., as a operations assistant.
