Mike Nichols was recently was hired as the new chief information officer for SoutheastHEALTH.
Nichols is originally from Missouri and holds a master's degree in computer resources and information systems management from Webster University, according to a news release. He also is a certified professional in health information technology and a certified information systems security professional.
Before joining SoutheastHEALTH, Nichols spent nine years as chief information officer for Masonicare Health System in Connecticut. He has over 20 years of technology experience, according to the release, and at SoutheastHEALTH will lead project management of technology initiatives.
Shahid K. Choudhary is a new medical partner at the recently formed Poplar Bluff Neurology Specialists of Saint Francis Medical Center. Choudhary is a well-known specialist who has treated neurology patients in the Poplar Bluff, Missouri, area for over 20 years, according to a news release from Saint Francis. Choudhary's medical degree is from Santiago University of Technology in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and he completed an internship and residency at medical centers and colleges in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His clinical interests, according to the release, include general neurological care and treatment of seizures and headaches.
David R. Gayle and Andy Gayle have joined Saint Francis as medical partners for the new Piedmont Physician Associates practice in Piedmont, Missouri. Both are family practice physicians. David Gayle's degree is from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, according to a news release. His primary clinical interest is gerontology. Andy Gayle's medical degree and family medicine residency were completed at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Andy Gayle is certified by the American Board of Family Practice, and his expertise is on general family medicine, with the exception of obstetrics, according to the release.
Aging Matters, formerly known as the Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging, recently named Lana Johnson as executive director and Rhonda Bramlett as nutrition project director, according to a column by Ruth Dockins for The Best Years, a Rust Communications special publication.
