Leet Eye Care employees attend workshops

Leet Eye Care in Cape Girardeau has had several of its staff on the road, learning more about their field over the past few months. In February, Dr. Kory Thoma attended the Southeastern Congress of Optometry International Convention in Atlanta. Then in May, assistant Sue Mitchell attended a Keye Productivity Center seminar. In addition, Laura Evans and Cherie Harris went to the Corneal Refractive Therapy Symposium in Scottsdale, Ariz. Dr. Greg Leet attended the American Osteopathic Association Congress in Orlando, Fla.

Sikeston pharmacist gets award for innovation

Sandra Bollinger, pharmacist at SuperD Drugs in Sikeston, Mo., has received the 2004 Innovative Practice Award. The award is given annually by the Missouri Pharmacy Association to recognize a pharmacist who has demonstrated innovative practice.

Scott City man named to state council

Scott City's Jason Eftink was recently appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council by Gov. Bob Holden. Eftink is currently president and CEO of Technology and Networking Inc. He also works as a mentor to the disabled.

Area women recognized at Mary Kay seminar

Future executive senior sales director Jana Jateff of Cape Girardeau recently returned from the Mary Kay Cosmetics Diamond Seminar in Dallas, Texas. There her team received recognition for being in the $400,000 unit club. Her team members were Donna Nesbit and Tina Ashby of Scott City; Ann Yuede, Amy Cairns and Amy Romack of Cape Girardeau; and Sarah Arthur from Cottage Hills, Ill.
