SEMO professor named to Federal Reserve group
Dr. Bruce Domazlicky, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at Southeast Missouri State University, has accepted a nomination to join a research group sponsored by the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank. The new group is part of the bank's efforts to expand its involvement in the area, and it will research information on the area's economic trends and conditions.
Montgomery Bank names new PR manager
David Jones has joined the staff at Montgomery Bank as the new public relations/communications manager. He will be responsible for all internal and external communications for the bank, as well as coordination of the bank's participation in community events.
Jackson native makes journal's top 30 listJackson native Nicole Martin was recently named to the St. Louis Business Journal's 30 Under 30 List, which lists the top 30 business people under the age of 30 working in the St. Louis area. Martin, 29, is a business analyst with the Transitional Services Management at Reuters America Operations. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Cape CPA elected officer in professional societyCape Girardeau's Darrin Sauerbrunn, CPA, has been elected secretary of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountant's Southeast Chapter. The organization consists of about 280 CPAs and is dedicated to advancing its profession through education and government advocacy. Sauerbrunn currently works with the public accounting firm Kerber, Eck and Braeckel.
Cape Girardeau financial agent gets award
David Hahs recently received the Diamond Award from the Association of Agents for his sales achievements during the previous year. Hahs is associated with The Network's Hahs District Agency in Cape Girardeau.
Saint Francis names new board members
R. David Crader, Shannon York Davis and Kevin B. Spaeth have been named to the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors and will all serve six-year terms. Crader is president and CEO of Bank of Missouri in Cape Girardeau. Davis is president and CEO of Arch Nemesis Inc., which operates McDonald's restaurants throughout Southeast Missouri. Spaeth is a lawyer with Rice, Spaeth and Summers of Cape Girardeau.
