Financial consultant earns sales title

Lyle A. Davis of Cape Girardeau has been named associate vice president of investments by A.G. Edwards & Sons, a national brokerage firm based in St. Louis. Davis is a financial consultant in the firm's Cape Girardeau office. A graduate of the University of Kansas, Davis has been a financial broker for nine years. He joined A.G. Edwards in 1996.

Port recognizes two for service as chairmen

John Thompson of Jackson and Mike Marshall of Sikeston were recognized by the Board of Commissioners of the Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority for their previous service as chairmen of the board. Thompson served for in 2001 and 2002. Marshall served in 2003, giving up his second term to focus on his duties as mayor of Sikeston. Both continue to serve as members of the port board.
