Outdoors supply store expands, adds inventory

POPLAR BLUFF -- Dennis Outdoors now has more of everything -- more open areas, more variety and more volume.

The outdoors supply store on Highway 67 South, just outside Poplar Bluff, has a new gun area with new racks and showcases.

"We've just about doubled our gun (supplies)," said owner Randy Dennis. "We've expanded our ammunition. Hopefully if somebody's looking for a certain caliber, we'll have it."

There are more gun models and more reloading supplies. Also, there are more tree stands, dog training items, clothing, archery supplies, fireproof gun safes, fishing tackle and hunting optics.

Brands include American Securities and Browning gun safes, Pentax and Nikon optics, and Mossy Oak and Whitewater Outdoors clothing.

The clothing has a wide range of pieces in camouflage shades from moss to hardwoods, and there are backpacks and boots to match.

Dennis said his customers come from a 100-mile radius.
