Old Town Cape is seekng nominations for its annual awards for historic preservation. The annual awards spotlight a commercial project and a residential project within the 130 square-block district from Water Street to West End Boulevard and from Highway 74 to North Street. Nominations will be judged on community impact, degree of difficulty and capacity of the project to set an example for others or show pioneering improvisation. Projects must meet the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's standards for rehabilitation. Commercial properties are eligible for the John Boardman Excellence in Rehabilitation Award and residences are eligible for the Judith Ann Crow Residential Historic Rehabilitation Award. Nominations may be made by contacting the Old Town Cape office at 334-8085.
