A fourth Cape Girardeau restaurant has announced that it will relocate in the city. Subway Sandwiches & Salads will move its 1315 Broadway restaurant to the corner of Broadway and Sprigg.

On the drawing boards are plans for a new Italian restaurant in downtown Cape Girardeau, occupying space at 118 Themis, which previously housed Griffin's Restaurant.

Cafe Cape, which will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, including steaks, pastas and sandwiches, opened recently in space previously occupied by Mr. B's Waffles & Deli, which closed recently.

Owner of the new business is Dale Eskew, who has more than 16 years in the restaurant industry, including five with Mr. B's. He previously worked a number of years with Shoney's Restaurants.

"We offer a full-service menu," said Eskew. "We'll also feature a Sunday brunch."

Cafe Cape, which includes 4,200 square feet, will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
