NEW ON THE BUSINESS SCENE: RIVER RIDGE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM, CABIN OFFICIAL OPEN

The River Ridge Christmas Tree Farm and Yule Log Cabin have officially opened for the 1995 Christmas holiday season.

The tree farm and Yule Log Cabin giftshop opened the final weekend of October and will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Sunday hours from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Also open in the same area, near Commerce. is the River Ridge Winery, situated in an old farm house.

To reach the tree farm, motorists can go five miles south of Scott City on Route N; or take Route E out of Benton, six miles to Route N, then left a half-mile.

The winery is located two miles north of Commerce on County Road 321, about four miles from the tree farm, and the Yule Cabin is located west of the winery.

Jerry and Joannie Smith operate the Yule Cabin, which offers gifts and decorations, and the winery.

The Smiths also own the tree farm, but it is being operated this year by Mike and Jan Davis.
