Marine Equipment Towing Corp. (METCO) will move into new quarters this year.
METCO, which owns, leases and operates a towboat operation, has purchased property in Six-Thirty Industrial Park, along Southern Expressway, and will construct a 10,000-square-foot building.
The property is a four-acre tract adjoining the Mid America Distributing Co. property.

"We're looking to a late July or early August opening in the new building," said Brenda Enderle, office manager of METCO, which has been at 801 Progress since opening an office here in October 1991. "We need more office space and parking."
The new facility will include a training area for deckhands and river workers.
The company is owned by the Marine Equipment Management Co. of St. Louis.
Harold Dodd is general manager of the Cape Girardeau operation.
