Garden's Edge has opened at Kelso.
The new nursery provides unique plants, shrubs and gifts, from azaleas to perennials and plants, including Japanese maple grasses.
Marvin Wormington and his son, Matthew Wormington, opened the new business recently.
"We'll offer landscaping services," said Wormington, who also operates a lawn service during he summer. "Or people can purchase plants and put them in."
The Japanese maple grasses are popular now, said Wormington. The grasses provide good growth in hot weather, dry soils and city conditions.
The grasses are found almost any height, width, shape and foliage colors, and offer great ground covers and shrubs. The foliage colors are generally blue or gray-green, but changes with the season.
The new nursery business, which is open now, will have an official grand opening March 17.
Debby Grojan is manager of the new nursery.
