Cape Electrical Supply Co. of Cape Girardeau has opened a new store in Paducah, Ky.

Southfork Lightning, 3231 Lone Oak Road, is the company's second store in Paducah. Southfork Electrical Supply opened in 1992 at 521 N. Friendship Road at Paducah.

The new Southfork Lightning store will feature a fully stock showroom and display area, with an emphasis on lighting products for the home. Southfork will also carry a complete inventory of materials and equipment for electrical construction in both residential and commercial work.

Bill Pickens of Paducah is responsible for the overall operation of the new store. Pickens has more than 20 years experience in electrical and decorative lighting in Western Kentucky. Phyllis Wurth of Paducah, an experienced lighting consultant, will serve as sales representative.

Cape Electrical Supply, which was founded in Cape Girardeau in 1953, operates 13 stores in four states. The company employs more than 100 people.

The list includes stores in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, West Plains, Park Hills and Arnold in Missouri; Paducah and Murray in Kentucky; Marion and Carbondale in Illinois; and Dyersburg, Tenn.

The company is an authorized distributor for many of the top brand names in electrical equipment and components and recently expanded in both industrial automation and data-communications segments. The company has two stores at Cape Girardeau.
