Johnson Office Equipment, a Canon Products dealership at Murphysboro, Ill., has a new owner and new name.
Bill Heckert, an account representative for Canon Products for the past 10 years, bought the business from Ed and Scott Johnson, and renamed it Standard Office Products.
Heckert formerly owned Heckert's Office Supply in Scott City and served as an area school superintendent.

The new business also owns Fax-It Distribution Wholesale Division, which sells used products to other dealers.
Business headquarters will remain at 1023 N. 14th Street in Murphysboro. The former owners will continue sales and service for a wide-range of office equipment and furniture. The dealership was established more than 30 years ago by Ed Johnson.
The business is also a dealer for Hewlett-Packard, IBM-Lexmark and other products.
