The new business, Standard Office Products, also owns Sax-It Distribution Wholesale Division, which sells used products to other dealers.
Business headquarters will remain at 1023 N. 14th Street in Murphysboro. Heckert and former owners Ed and Scott Johnson will continue sales and service for a wide-range of office equipment and furniture. The dealership was started over 30 years ago by Ed Johnson.
In addition to Cannon, the business is also a dealer for Hewlett-Packard, IBM-Lexmarc and other products.
