Kid's World Kare Center has opened at 2136 William in Town Plaza Shopping Center.
"We're licensed for 35 students," said Thomas LaMunion, director of the child care center.
The new center will provide a number of services, including before and after school care and alternative care on weekends and nights for students 2 to 12.
The new facility is in the rear portion of the building that houses the Kid's World entertainment center, videos and cream.
Virginia Weidefeld is owner.
LaMunion, who has a child development association from Washington, D.C., has experience in child development. He previously worked with a Head Start program.
