Brick Street Gallery Art Antiques and Creative Designs has opened in downtown Cape Girardeau.
The business, located in the Paddle Wheel Plaza building, at 5 N. Main St., is owned and operated by Keith and Rosetta Colley.
The Brick Street Gallery, which features antiques and collectibles, opened two years ago at Sikeston and moved to Cape Girardeau recently. The store is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Paddle Wheel Plaza Building, will feature a number of antique operations within the next month. With Madder Rose Antique Mall, #1 N. Main St., closing Nov. 1, several dealers are moving operations next door.
"We have dealer space available," said Keith Colley.
Rosetta Colley, a well-known regional artist, studied art at Southeast Missouri State University, and will present a "Reincarnated Furniture" course at the Brick Street Gallery, starting tonight.
The furniture-painting course is a six-week course, conducted with the university. The continuing education classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each Monday, running through Nov. 6.
Novice or beginners are welcome to the class, said Colley.
