__PRESSON NAMED GENERAL MANGER FOR ARROW DIGITAL__
Lucas Presson was named general manager for Arrow Digital, which produces the student newspaper and news website, southeastarrow.com, for Southeast Missouri State University. Arrow Digital is operated as a partnership between Southeast and Rust Communications, the parent company of the Southeast Missourian. Presson earned an undergraduate degree in communication studies and a master's degree in business administration from Southeast. He previously served as assistant managing editor for the Southeast Missourian and maintains the role of editorial-page editor and editorial board member.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Tonya Carter was top producer for February at Coldwell Banker Ruth Holloway Realty, and Vicki Henderson was top lister. In March, Henderson was top producer and Terri Whitten was top lister.

__FINDLAY SELECTED FOR LEADERSHIP MISSOURI__
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Paul F. Findlay, preconstruction coordinator for Robinson Construction Co., was one of 38 Missouri business and state leaders chosen to participate in Leadership Missouri, a seven-month leadership enhancement program sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Leadership Missouri is designed to help business, government and civic leaders better understand issues facing Missouri employers, communities and government. Over the course of seven months, beginning in April and ending in October, participants meet each month in a different Missouri city and focus on specific challenges facing that community and our state.
__SOUTHEAST MISSOURIAN NAMES NEW MANAGING EDITOR__
Lindsay Jones, who hails from western Tennessee, is the new managing editor at the Southeast Missourian. She will also oversee the Southeast Missourian's special publications. The newspaper will be adding two writers soon. Originally from Long Island, N.Y., Jones moved to Tennessee before high school. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a bachelor's degree in journalism after attending a junior college. She has worked in journalism since 1997. She most recently worked for an international company that hired her as a representative to build publications from the ground up. She was responsible for organizing and managing the content for several local monthly magazines, of which 85 percent of content was submitted. Matt Sanders, the Southeast Missourian's previous managing editor, now is the city editor at the Columbia Daily Tribune in Columbia, Mo.

Red Letter Communications honored 16 employees for their commitment to the Cape Girardeau-based advertising company at a recent employee recognition luncheon. The following employees were recognized: Drew Wright, Beth Heise, Allison Page, Pat Mungle, Jon Fox, Holly Dirnberger, Jill Davis, Sarah DeGroot and Debbie Lewis, five or more years with the company; Silvia Kinder, Shelley McTigue, Andy Dunaway, Sandy Ross and Amanda Shreve, 10 or more years with the company; and Krista Keesee and Crystal Hill, 18 or more years with the company.
__TESSENS GRADUATES FROM PARAPLANNER PROGRAM__
DEXTER, Mo. -- Laura Tessens completed the Registered Paraplanners Program from the College for Financial Planning in Denver. Study topics from the program included financial planning, financial statements and cash flow management, time value for money, equities and debt instruments and tax planning. Individuals who complete the educational materials, pass a final exam, sign a code of ethics and disclosure form and complete an internship earn the right to use the RP mark. The program requires the completion of 500 hours of internship, which Tessens achieved with Bagby Wealth Management in Dexter. She has worked with the company since 2007.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Terri Whitten of Poplar Bluff was awarded the Certified Residential Specialist Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Realtors who receive CRS Designation have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated outstanding achievement in residential real estate. Only 37,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential. Whitten is a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Ruth Holloway Realty.
__WINCHESTER HONORED AT CONFERENCE__
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Matt Winchester, Scott County Farm Bureau insurance agent, achieved membership in the Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance Companies' Brokerage P&C Pyramid Club. He is one of the company's top agents qualifying for the award this year. The award was presented during the company's All Star Sales Conference March 6 to 8 in Branson, Mo.
__CITY OF SIKESTON HONORS EMPLOYEES__
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jamie Williams was honored as Sikeston Department of Public Works Employee of the Second Quarter. As a code officer, he performs building inspections, property maintenance inspections and animal control duties. Jimmy Harrell was Sikeston Department of Public Safety Employee of the Second Quarter. In his capacity as a firefighter, he was recognized as an exceptional trainer.
__VOLKERDING HONORED FOR SALES ACHIEVEMENT__
Kenneth E. Volkerding, a representative of Modern Woodmen of America in Cape Girardeau, was named to Modern Woodmen's President's Club. The distinction recognizes Volkerding's high achievement in life insurance sales among the organization's representatives nationwide.
__POWER PLANT EMPLOYEES RECEIVE AWARDS__
NEW MADRID, Mo. -- Associated Electric Cooperative honored 13 current and former employees at its New Madrid Power Plant during its 20th annual Excel employee recognition ceremony in Springfield, Mo. Award recipients were nominated by their peers at the power plant. Awards went to Jordan S. Lawyer of Cape Girardeau, engineering supervisor, Excel Award for Employee of the Year in a Professional Field; Clarence D. Kineman of Sikeston, journeyman welder mechanic, Excel Award for Employee of the Year in a Vocational Field; and Ralph L. Palmer of New Madrid, plant chemist, Safety Person of the Year. A team of employees earned the Excel Commendation for Courageous Response: Ben D. Ashley of New Madrid; Kimberly M. Beardslee of Sikeston; Robert L. Brinkley of Rocky Mount; Timothy D. Graham of Puxico; David M. Malone of Greenville, Robert W. Schweizer of Sikeston; Bradley W. Shoaf of Sikeston; Anthony Sims of Lilbourn; Shannon L. Sprouse of Kewanee; and Tracy S. Stone of Malden.
__EDINGTON NAMED TO 30 UNDER 30__
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Lucas Edington was named to the Top 30 Under 30 by the National Association of Realtors, the Daily American Republic reported. He was featured in the May/June issue of Realtor Magazine. Edington was 19 when he became a licensed real estate agent. Now 28, he owns his own branch of Mossy Oak Properties in Poplar Bluff and is consistently a top producer among area companies and the corporation. The Top 30 Under 30 were selected based on business success, creativity, leadership and community ties.
__CARLISLE APPOINTED PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR__
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Sally Carlisle of Bertrand, Mo., as the new public administrator for Mississippi County, according to a news release from the governor's office. The position became available upon the death earlier this year of former public administrator Rick Reed. Carlisle is a retired eligibility specialist supervisor for the Missouri Department of Social Services Family Support Division. She worked in the Sikeston office from 1989 to 2011.
