Montgomery Bank customers have noticed a new look when visiting their 2027 Broadway branch in Cape Girardeau, but the institution's commitment to community involvement hasn't changed a bit.
The past year saw the bank complete renovation at the Broadway branch aimed at providing a more inviting and comfortable environment for its customers.
"We invite anyone who has not been by to stop in for a tour," said Kent Puchbauer, community bank president.
While the Broadway facility received a facelift, 2011 was another banner year for community involvement for Montgomery Bank and its employees.
"We are very proud to be a part of the Cape Girardeau and Jackson communities," Puchbauer said. "Our commitment to provide both financial and volunteer support to our area is a part of our corporate culture which is to give back to the communities we serve." One of the bank's newest ventures was the miniature bank at the Discovery Playhouse Children's Museum. Youngsters can learn banking and money management at the interactive exhibit, which includes an ATM machine that dispenses "Monty Money."
Montgomery Bank also has a Cape Girardeau location at 200 S. Mount Auburn Road, along with locations at Jackson, Chaffee, Dexter and Sikeston.
