Ozark Airlines has quit operations at the Columbia, Mo., airport, and the status of another regional carrier there is in doubt. Great Plains Airline Holding Co. purchased Ozark Air Lines in March. Meanwhile, questions still abound about Trans World Express (TWE) status after American Airlines' purchase of Trans World Airlines. TWE has committed to staying in Columbia, but flies only to St. Louis.

Ozark had provided flights to Chicago and Dallas.

Airport manager Bill Boston said a top priority for Columbia Airport it to lure another commercial provider.
