Business seminar set for November
Associated Industries of Missouri will host a conference Nov. 14 and 15 in Columbia, Mo., to provide information on new state economic development programs, environmental matters and other business issues. Among the presentations will be a seminar of the new sales-tax exemption for utilities used in the manufacturing process and a program led by Doyle Childers, director of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, on the department's new ombudsman program. Cape firm to have open house after ceremony
The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for Region Title & Land Services at 2511 Independence St., Suite 301, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Justin Pobst, the new owner of Regional Title, will celebrate the opening of the company's new location and host an open house immediately following the ribbon cutting.
